The Glyphs Portal API allows you to fetch results directly from your favorite magic apps, creating a fully connected ecosystem.

Available Data Fields (Glyphs)

• peek – Fetches results from impression pads and supported apps, sending them straight into Glyphs.

• glyphsPeek – Returns the word the participant types in Notes Mode.

• pi – Sends the PI revelation position based on the number the participant inputs.

• dictionary – Sends the exact location of the word that the participant inputs inside the oxford dictionary mini school.

With the Portal API, you can also:

• Share your custom Glyphs templates with other users.
• Back up templates to the server and re-download them anytime.

Use Glyphsmitter (with API Add-On)

If you own the Portal API add-on, you can also use Glyphsmitter — a free companion app that turns any phone into a live data transmitter for your system.

Glyphsmitter

How it works:

• Your assistant installs Glyphsmitter (free).
• You enter your Glyphs API Portal code.
• They input the information they receive.
• The data is sent instantly to your Glyphs system via the “peek” field.

Your API updates in real time, allowing your performance to react instantly.

Why this is powerful:

• No complicated setup.
• Any phone can become a secret input device.
• Perfect for stage, close-up, or remote assistance.

You don’t even need a permanent assistant.

The Portal API allows other magic apps (Inject, Goo, Hydra, Lumen Prism/Spectra, etc.) to instantly access your Phonewords Pro data to create impossible reveals, predictions, and dynamic effects.

Available Data Fields (Phonewords)

• contacts – The searched contact name.

• number – The phone number typed into the dial pad.

• daysalive – Total days lived based on the birthdate.

• weekday – The day of the week they were born.

• zodiac – The zodiac sign of your spectator.

• celeb – A celebrity sharing the same birthday.

• result – Full peek information (ideal with Dictionary Mode).

• selectedContact – The contacted name the spectator taps on their device.

• fav1 – Acrostic results separated by commas

  • e.g., TONY → Tara, Omar, Nour, Yehia

• fav2 – Acrostic results separated by spaces

  • e.g., TONY → Tara Omar Nour Yehia

The Api also allows you to back up your Favorites and Recents lists to the server, so you never lose them.
